Dipstick

               DTO safety notification "Dipstick stuck"


  • om verschillende redenen kan de dipstick vast komen te zitten
  • als de dipstick niet met normale vingerkracht los komt, gebruik dan geen gereedschap
  • als er teveel kracht gezet word, kan de dipstick buis borg breken en of de buis scheuren
  • lukt het niet, schakel dan de technische dienst in, om het probleem te verhelpen
  • ga niet vliegen zonder de olie te controleren

It can happen to you....


During taxi a lot bang was heard, the plane directly moved away from the centerline...


After coming to a full stop, informed tower of the situation and switched of the avionics and engine, followed by securing the aircraft.


Ones out of the cockpit we realised the rh main wheel was bursted.


Propable cause, a worn out tire beyond the groove (the so called flat spot) that was not noted during the pre flight.


Main cause  not checking the tires fully, distraction.
